On 6 February 2026, the Center of Excellence for Trace Analysis and Biosensor (TAB-CoE), in collaboration with the Forensic Science Innovation and Service Center, Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University, organized a knowledge transfer activity in forensic science entitled “WATSON: A Device for the Detection of Biological Evidence at Crime Scenes and Forensic Photography.” The event was held at Room BSc4, Basic Science Building (BSc), Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus. The event was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimonsri Mittraparp-arthorn, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and International Relations. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chittanon Buranachai, Dr. Kittirat Phooplub, Dr. Suntisak Khumngern and Dr.  Atchara Lomae. Prof. Dr. Panote Thavarungkul served as an advisor and presented souvenirs during the event. The organizing team warmly welcomed representatives from Police Forensic Science Center 8, 9, and 10, as well as provincial forensic units under their jurisdiction.

            The activity included academic lectures, the sharing of real-world experiences in biological evidence examination, demonstrations of forensic equipment and technologies and hands-on training in crime scene photography. The program aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding and practical skills, thereby strengthening capacities in research, academic services and the development of science for sustainable societal benefit.
